EKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an international certification system for raw materials, intermediate and final products in the textile sector at all stages of processing.
The aim is to achieve products which are free of substances harmful to human health. FARIADACOSTA is authorized, through certificate No. 3275CIT, to use the Oeko-Tex label for the following articles:
Socks and legwarmers produced with raw yarns and dyed yarns in Cotton, Cotton / Polyester, Viscose, Polyester (including Coolmax®, Thermocool® and Thermolite®), metallized yarns (Lurex®), Acrylic, Acrylic/Polyamide/Wool (including blends), Polypropylene and blends with coated elastomers. (Base materials already pre-certified STANDARD 100).
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is an industry tool designed to recognize the best practices of farmers, ensuring that wool comes from farms with a progressive approach to managing their land, and from sheep that have been treated responsibly.
On farms, the certification ensures that sheep are treated with respect to their Five Freedoms* and also ensures best practices in the management and protection of the land. The standard is globally applicable to all breeds of sheep, and mulesing is strictly prohibited.
